Physics Club – Wednesdays at Lunch in C-21
Physics Club is a space for students in Honors Physics, Advanced Placement (AP) Physics 1, and AP Physics C to participate in exciting and educational extra credit activities.
“Physics club give s students a deeper understanding of how physics laws interact with the real world,” club president senior Claire Cocea said. “[It] also offers a fun way of learning physics concepts.”
Beyond the rigorous classes they take, physics students have the opportunity to bond through the club by collaborating in teams to deepen their scientific knowledge and boost their grades.
Filipino Club – Thursdays at Lunch in B-226
Filipino Club is an enjoyable space for all students to learn about Filipino culture, including food, language and more in an entertaining way.
“It’s interesting to learn about different cultures,” club president junior Marielle Flores said. “[It’s also fun to have a place where Filipinos and non-Filipinos can meet is a great way to connect and make more friends.”
With new foods to taste, karaoke to sing, and other fun activities, Filipino club hopes to teach students to appreciate their culture.
F1 Club – Thursdays at Lunch in T-39
F1 Club is the home for all fans of Formula 1 to come together and engage in discourse and compete in the fantasy league.
“We want to create a community of F1 and motorsport fans together for fun discussions and fantasy leagues.” club president junior Idan Melili said. “We have a fun and competitive fantasy league where we give a prize to the three top finishers and a punishment to the loser.”
All fans of Formula 1, whether experienced in the fantasy league or just curious about the sport, are welcome to join the club.
Ethics of Science – Thursdays at Lunch in C-24
The Ethics of Science Club is an environment where students can have meaningful discussions about the ethical implications of new science technologies.
“I enjoy both philosophy and debate and I’m very passionate about science so I wanted to incorporate both the discussion and learning sides of science,” club president junior Olive Sanders said.
In this thought-provoking club, students who are enthusiastic about science are encouraged to come together and form connections over captivating and educational topics.
