Charli XCX and Troye Sivan delivered an unforgettable performance during the Los Angeles portion of the highly anticipated Sweat Tour, playing two sold-out nights Oct. 15-16 at the KIA Forum.
Charlotte Emma Aitchison, or more famously known as Charli XCX, first gained popularity with her 2013 hit, “I Love It,” which has now skyrocketed into an even higher level of fame. With nearly 40 million monthly listeners on Spotify, Aitchison has solidified her place as a successful pop artist. Performing songs from her latest hyper-pop album, “Brat,” she gave her fans the ultimate “Brat Summer” experience. Her amazing stage presence and catchy songs have carried right into fall with the Sweat Tour, keeping her party-girl persona alive.
Troye Sivan, who originally posted Youtube videos with popular content creators, signed with Electrical and Music Industries (EMI) Australia, a Universal Music Australian Label. He created his first hit song, “Youth,” peaking at 23 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has since become one of the most popular Australian pop stars of this generation. He is equally captivating on stage, with his great vocals and stage charisma, opening the concert with his song “Got Me Started.”
Songs like “Apple” and “Rush” were clear fan favorites during the concert, both being some of Aitchison and Sivan’s most popular songs to date.
The concert was a sensory overload, with strobe lighting, an explosive sound system and high-energy atmosphere, keeping the audience intrigued from start to finish. The crowd was fully engaged, jumping and singing to every song. Fans were decked out in black leather, brat green clothing, sunglasses and bold accessories, matching the lively vibe of the concert and the Brat aesthetic. Aitchison and Sivan’s chemistry was undeniable, having a shared encore while being showered in confetti halfway through the concert and wrapping up the electrifying concert with their collaboration on “Talk Talk.”
As “Brat” continues to be a fan-favorite and the Sweat Tour comes to an end in October, it’s clear that Aitchison and Sivan are making big moves in the music industry.
