With the start of the exciting collegiate March Madness tournaments to find out who the best teams are in basketball, some might also wonder what the true best fast food is.
There have been many debates among people in order to determine what the most popular fast food restaurant is. With suggestions from the school’s students on which restaurants should compete, collected through a google form, the true answer to the popular question has finally been answered.
In round one, many restaurants were set to battle it out, with some hard to choose restaurant options. The first round consisted of In-N-Out versus Jack in the Box, Wingstop versus Chipotle, Chick-fil-A versus Wendy’s, Canes versus Habit, Taco Bell versus Panda Express and McDonalds versus Burger King.
After hours of contemplation, the final choices to move on to the next round were decided. The restaurants moving to the next round are In-N-Out, Chipotle, Chick-fil-A, Canes, Taco Bell and McDonalds.
This next round required more difficult decisions on several factors that were put into making the choices, including taste, cost and time efficiency. Going up against one another in round two are In N Out versus Taco Bell, Chick-fil-A versus Canes and Chipotle versus McDonalds.
With its freshness, delicious spread and beautifully crafted milkshakes, In-N-Out won its battle against Taco Bell. While a strugglesome choice to make, Taco Bell just wasn’t the best choice when up against In-N-Out. Moving onto the famous Chick-fil-A and hard to find Canes, Chick-fil-A was the winner on the bracket and in many people’s hearts. With their scrumptious Chick-fil-A sauce and variety of different sauce choices alongside their famous Waffle Fries and chicken nuggets, it was a clear winner against Canes, with their only unique items being their Texas Toast and their Canes Sauce, as well as the two only nearby locations being over 20 minutes away from the school. Last but not least, with the oldest standing business and their well crafted, speedy service, delicious food choices, McDonalds won against the popular Chipotle, with speedy and healthy options for a protein packed, well-balanced meal.
In the third round, the competition was chosen for In-N-Out and McDonalds to go against one another. While many consider McDonalds to be a classic, In-N-Out took the win, moving on to the next round against Chick-fil-A.
Going into the fourth and final round, with the extremely difficult choice between In-N-Out versus Chick-fil-A, decisions had to be made and ultimately crown the school newspapers March Madness: Food Edition winners. Although it can never be truly decided what the best fast food restaurant is, based on student votes, the final winner is Chick-fil-A. Because of its wide variety of food options and fast service, Chick-fil-A was the clear winner to many students. Not only do students visit Chick-fil-A after school, but they also make efficient trips during lunch, making this restaurant an ultimate fan favorite.
