The popular Halloween store chain, Spirit Halloween, is opening up ten brand new stores in the northeast, in honor of the Christmas season.
Spirit Halloween first opened in 1983, with their original pop-up store debuting in San Francisco, Calif. Since then, the store opened up more than 1500 stores across the United States, becoming a go-to place for customers to purchase spooky costumes, decorations and candy.
Spirit Christmas, owned by Spencer Gifts, has a variety of things to offer to shoppers to liven up their holiday season. Stores are opening up in states from Massachusetts to Pennsylvania, with the first store set to open Oct. 18 in Mays Landing, N.J. The rest are planning to open in early November, giving guests plenty of time to get themselves prepared for the winter holidays.
The company’s new holiday chain includes decorations, gifts, stocking stuffers, apparel and many more festive items for people of all ages. Each store features a life-sized gingerbread village, Gingerbread Lane, where people can walk through and get a chance to mail a letter to Santa Claus in the North Pole. The new village also offers a free photo with Santa Claus and gives children the chance to have a classic Christmas experience when meeting him in person.
The full list of store locations was released in October, enumerating a total of ten stores which are Waterford, Conn., Dartmouth, Mass., Brick Township, Marlton, Mays Landing as well as Woodbridge in N.J., Albany, Bohemia and Poughkeepsie in N.Y. and Erie, Pa.
A Spirit Christmas Representative did not say whether more stores would be opened in the western states, but some shoppers remain hopeful.
The company has incorporated some of their traditional spirit into their new Christmas stores with a section called “Creepmas,” which includes a mixture of Halloween and holiday themed items to embrace both aesthetics. It features a combination of creepy ornaments, eerie holiday lights and decorations to give an ultimate spooky experience during the holiday season.
The opening of Spirit Christmas stores has been highly anticipated by several customers across the northeast and will bring excitement to those who want to experience a festive atmosphere that captures the true spirit of the holiday season.
