The band Cigarettes After Sex, known for their ethereal sound and consistency throughout their career, began their X’s tour Aug. 31 in Montreal in honor of their X’s album.
The band’s third studio album “X’s” was released July 12, and fans worldwide were excited to welcome the new music. Before “X’s” was released this year, Cigarettes After Sex was known for their mononymous debut studio album released in 2017 and their sophomore studio album “Cry” released in 2019. Although the band is known for its consistency and similarity in their sound, there were several songs that were inherently different from all of their predecessors. Fan favorites from the album included “Dreams From Bunker Hill,” “Tejano Blue” and “X’s.”
Their tour may have begun at the end of August, but their presale began March 5. From there, tickets quickly dwindled and whole venues became sold out. Due to increasing demand, the band added additional dates for certain locations. Los Angeles being one of them, they ended up performing two consecutive nights at the Kia Forum. The tour spans across Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and North America, and it is set to conclude March 19, 2025 in Taiwan.
Cigarettes After Sex fans have continued to admire their impressive sound in their live performances and will continue to throughout their “X’s” world tour.
