The trending cookie chain, Crumbl Cookies, continued their weekly tradition of nationally releasing a new line-up of six unique flavors Sept. 9-14 and Sept. 15-22.
During the first week, the best flavor was the Chocolate Crumb, featuring (ft.) Oreo. The cookie had a mouthwatering, velvety chocolate flavor with a delicious vanilla cream cheese frosting topped with a perfect sprinkle of chocolate crumbs. Overall this cookie was ranked a 9/10, because it didn’t fully capture the exact essence of an Oreo.
Next, was the Milk Chocolate Chip, a classic flavor that is in the lineup every other week. The cookie was the only one served warm which was the perfect touch to the new set of flavors. Its ranking is an 8/10 because it was delectable, but definitely has room for improvement.
In addition to cookies, Crumbl also serves cakes, including the Tres Leches Cake, ft. Lotus Biscoff. Ranked as a 6/10, the chilled cake was almost too sweet. It had a lightly spiced cake with a tres leches sauce and was topped with cookie butter and whipped cream.
One of the lowest ranking flavors was the Classic Peanut Butter cookie which was a 5/10. It wasn’t sweet enough as the sodium overtook the other ingredients. It wasn’t the worst, but it definitely had a lot more potential. Overall, it was basic, and it didn’t stand out from the lineup.
The lowest ranking from this line up was the Banoffee Pie, a graham pie cookie with caramel, banana buttercream, whipped cream and dark chocolate shavings. The texture wasn’t appetizing, and the flavors didn’t mesh well, giving this cookie a 2/10.
In the second week, the cookies were ranked higher and included some highlights. The best cookie was Brownie Batter with a ranking of 9/10. It was the ideal chocolate cookie, with an intense, deep flavor that was decadent and perfectly coupled with rich chocolate chunks. It was an indulgent cookie, but it didn’t completely live up to expectations.
The second best flavor was the Raspberry Cheesecake ft. Philadelphia Cream Cheese, as it was ranked 8/10. The raspberry and cheesecake flavors pair well together with the perfect amount of sweetness. However, it wasn’t unique as it was like any other ordinary cheesecake.
Finally, the last cookie was the Fried Ice Cream that was ranked as a 7/10. It was a soft, buttery cookie with a smooth vanilla flavored frosting that was covered in cinnamon sugar and cornflakes. It was a scrumptious cookie but the cornflakes were dry, and made the texture unappealing.
As new flavor line-ups continue to be released every week, buyers excitedly await new and unique sweet treats.
