After seven years since their last world tour, American rock band Pierce the Veil announced the “I Can’t Hear You” world tour, consisting of tracks from all of their albums and spanning from May to December.
Despite being more commonly associated with the emo music genre, Pierce the Veil’s music has paved their own niche in the emo community since their formation in 2006, serving as a blend of different subgenres and cultures. Their 2007 debut album, “A Flair for the Dramatic,” consists of hit songs like “Caraphernelia” and showcases the future work they have since proffered to their fans.
Brothers Mike and Vic Fuentes founded the band together alongside Tony Perry and Jaime Preciado. The four released three additional albums together before their increase in popularity supported by the 2012 release of “Collide with the Sky” led to an increase in scrutiny against co-founder Mike Fuentes and his alleged statutory relationship with a minor. Following the controversy, Mike Fuentes was removed from the band and replaced by current drummer Lionel Robinson.
Despite this major setback to their public image, Pierce the Veil was still able to rebrand and top the charts again with the release of their most recent album “The Jaws of Life” in 2023. Subsequently, the band excited their fans in December of 2024 with the announcement of an upcoming tour and single for May, which many fans perceived to be an homage to their hit song “Hold On Till May” featuring Lindsey Stamey. Their single “Kiss Me Now” was released May 6 and officially re-released May 9 on the deluxe edition of “The Jaws of Life,” both of which were released just in time for the beginning of their “I Can’t Hear You” world tour beginning May 13 in Charlotte, NC. A tribute to dedicated fans worldwide, the “I Can’t Hear You” tour has a setlist consisting of many songs from all of their albums so far and includes the popular rock band Sleeping With Sirens as an opener for their shows. Although the band has toured with Sleeping With Sirens before, their doing so again has excited fans who are eager to hear the popular “Collide with the Sky” track “King For A Day,” which features Kellin Quinn, the lead singer of Sleeping With Sirens.
Although the tour lasts only until the end of the year, the band has reserved three tour dates for the Los Angeles location in late June and early July. Pierce the Veil is set to travel across North America, Europe and the United Kingdom (U.K.), as well as Latin America, with the final tour date ending Dec. 16 in São Paulo, Brazil. With the tour only just beginning, fans worldwide are commemorating by holding on until May.
