With every new holiday and season, Jellycat, releases a new, aptly themed, collection of stuffed animals, and this past Valentine’s Day was no exception.
The store released many new stuffed animals in their drop, with about 10 of them being Valentine’s Day themed. Many of the items had previously been introduced prior to the release, only now added with a Valentine’s Day twist.
The classic Bartholomew Bear ‘Heartthrob’ was dressed up with love in a removable fluffy red heart costume, differentiating it from the other lines of Bartholomew Bears. With its fuzzy fur, the $45 bear is the perfect plushie to hug and share love with all year long.
One of the other popular plushies was Hugg McSnugg, the vibrant red love monster, costing $25. Its adorable appearance and huggable quality made it the perfect gift for a loved one this holiday season. Hugg McSnugg, like almost every other new plush in the set, sold out quickly on the Jellycat website but can still be bought in certain stores or second-hand.
The cute Munro Scottie Dog ‘Love You’ plush is a perfect comfort to have, costing $40. With its shaggy cream fur and suedette black nose, the dog holds in its mouth a red rose to bring love to all, unlike the original Munro Scottie Dogs that were previously released.
Another lovable plush Jellycat has to offer is the Kerrii Cactus, costing $28. The green of the cactus is shaped in a heart and layered in a textured brown colored soil. Kerrii Cactus is seen smiling in its red pot along with its dangling legs that give it a comforting vibe.
Another classic stuffed animal featured in the collection is the Bashful Bunny, which costs $32. The bunny is incredibly soft with cream fur, floppy ears and a pink suedette nose, along with the red heart the plush carries making the plush a staple comfort piece.
The Amuseables Jellycat collection also had new Valentine’s themed drops, including Amuseables Beatie Heart, Amuseables Val and Tina Love Locks and Amuseables Rose Bouquet. The Amuseables Val and Tina Love Locks were very popular on social media, despite them being the only ones not sold out on the website. The two are detachable, heart-shaped locks that can be separated to share one half with a loved one. The Love Locks are priced at $40, while Beatie Heart is $22, and the Rose Bouquet is $50.
The Jellycat Valentine’s Day collection was exciting for fans and very popular this holiday season. As the brand has continued to gain notoriety over the past few years, their seasonal drops continue to gain more and more appreciation by customers.
