UNICEF – Wednesdays at Nutrition in B-217
United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) is a club designed to support children around the world in terms of education, water quality, healthcare, nutrition, safety and more.
“I truly believe in the natural right to equal opportunity,” club president junior Hunter Le said. “I think that with UNICEF we can directly advocate for this goal and further push the agenda of making sure everyone can be given the opportunity to thrive in their individual lives.”
UNICEF has high hopes of making lasting change in society. With their hard work, they impact the lives of people around the world.
Speech and Debate – Thursdays at Lunch in B-215
Speech and Debate is a healthy, competitive environment for students to discuss and learn about topics they are interested in.
“Speech and Debate really helps with public speaking skills,” club president and junior Hadley Preston said. “It can help you learn about new topics, meet new people and compete.”
With all their hard work and dedication, students in this club can develop important social skills that will help them in the future.
Chess Club – Fridays at Lunch in S-3
Chess Club is a fun and inviting space where students can compete against each other in either a monthly tournament or a casual match of Chess.
“The club offers games with many people of diverse styles and levels, so you will always find someone of similar level to you.” club co-president senior Aaron Doan said. “Our goal is to foster a love for the game, improve members’ skills, and create a welcoming experience for all chess enthusiasts of all levels.”
Chess Club is open for all students interested in the popular game and is accommodating for people of every skill level.
Biology Club – Thursdays at Lunch in C-24
Biology Club is a great place for students interested in the subject or who would like additional help with biology coursework of any level.
“We want to lend a helping hand to biology students, of all levels, who seek to expand their knowledge or understanding of biology.” club president junior Liad Studnik said. “I know first-hand how it feels to struggle with biology and if [we] can help in any way, [we] strive to do so.”
All people interested in furthering their mastery of biology are welcome to come and join this club as a tutor, member or student.
